A Whale of a Tale Thursday 9 July 2015

Come and join us for a 1 hour presentation about whales with marine conservationist, Jeannie Lawson.

Jeannie has been a professional whale watcher for 30 years, she has trained National Parks and Wildlife Service rangers in whale rescue and has given free community whale talks on headlands for the past 17 years. She is the founder of marine environment group, Ocean and Coastal Care Initiatives, and in 2011 was the recipient of the state and national Pride of Australia Medals for her environmental work.

Come and play the ‘Whales & Whalers’ Game – see who can save the whales! Game will be available at the Habitat from 6pm, coin donation per player appreciated.

Whale of a Tale presentation begins at 7.00 pm. The audience will be invited to share their own ‘whale tales’ afterwards.
