Copper-tailed skink
Scientific Name: Ctenotus taeniolatus
Description: Simple striped pattern with black lateral stripe and strong copper coloured tail
Habitat: Found commonly along the eastern seaboard. They live in rocky and sandy environments
About: Like most skinks, they eat mainly small invertebrates like insects and worms. They seek sunny basking spots with cover nearby so they can dart away from predators.
