Description: Venomous, but inot dangerous to people, dark grey to black with narrow pale yellow band across neck.

Habitat: Found in a variety of forest types, from woodland to rainforest. Also favours well-watered urban situations.

About: All species of Cacophis have a distinct “crown” pattern on their heads, which gives them their common names. Are generally nocturnal and feed on lizards and reptile eggs.
